2018 to 2026
Fifteen Best of Houzz Awards for Houston Interior Design
Houzz gives two separate awards each year and they measure different things. Design is decided by how the community responds to a firm’s portfolio. Service is decided by client review volume and rating. We have won at least one of them every year since 2018, and both in six of those years.
Below is the full record, year by year, with what each award is given for and where to check it. Nothing here is a logo. Every line is a claim you can verify.
The full record
Nine consecutive years. Seven Design awards, eight Service awards, fifteen in total.
- Best of Houzz, Design. Given on how the Houzz community responded to our portfolio over the year.
- Best of Houzz, Service. Given on client review volume and rating.
Houzz Magazine pulled a Houston bathroom of ours into its roundup of storage ideas from the 2026 winners, citing the frameless mirrored medicine cabinet with integrated LED lighting. It is the only one of our awards that came with editorial coverage attached.

The same season, a JKD project ran as the cover story of Cambria Style. Two different kinds of recognition in one year, one from clients and one from a manufacturer we spec constantly.

The Design award is decided by saves and engagement across the whole platform rather than by a panel. It tracks whether the work reads, which is a different question from whether clients were happy.

Business of Home covered the 2023 winners on 4 April and quoted Jennifer by name. By then the record stood at five Design awards and six straight years of Service.

Design came back this year after a gap in 2020. A busy year for coverage as well: The Metropolitan Builder ran the first of its two Jennifer interviews in May, and in October Houzz Magazine took our League City kids’ bathroom for a feature on low-curb showers.

The one year in the run with Service only. Job sites shut down and reopened on short notice that year, and the award reflects clients who stayed with us through it.

What the two awards actually measure
Design and Service are not the same award
The Design award goes to firms whose portfolios drew the most engagement from the Houzz community over the year. It is a read on the work itself, not on the client experience behind it.
The Service award goes to firms rated highly by clients across a meaningful volume of reviews in the same period. A studio can design beautifully and still lose it.
We list them separately because collapsing them into one number hides which one a firm actually won. Seven Design awards and eight Service awards is a more useful sentence than fifteen awards.

Tell us about your project
The awards say the work holds up and the clients stayed happy. What they cannot tell you is whether your renovation is a fit for how we work. That takes a conversation.
