The Houston Interior Design Team Behind Every Project
A studio of nine, and a collection of women with backgrounds in design, corporate and marketing. On a whole-home renovation you will work with more than one of us, so it is worth knowing who does what.
Designers carry the drawings and the selections. Procurement carries the orders, the freight and the install date. Jennifer carries the project.
The people at Jennifer Kizzee Design
Under remodel. New portraits are being taken this month. Everyone below is still here, the photographs are just out being redone.
Founder and Principal Designer
Jennifer Kizzee
Jennifer started the studio in 2016 after a career in sales and marketing, and she still leads every project that comes through it. She takes the first conversation on a new job herself.
Senior Interior Designer
Paige Haynes
Paige has more than twenty years in design, remodeling and new construction, which makes her our most tenured designer. She runs the drawing and the schedule at the same time, which is rarer than it sounds.
Procurement Manager
Jennifer Schmidt
Jennifer manages procurement logistics on every project, from a background in finance and years working with large home builders. She is the reason the install date holds.
Interior Designer
McKayla Gookin
McKayla brings a harmonious, slightly whimsical hand to a room. Her remodeling experience lets her carry several medium to full-size renovations at once without dropping any of them.
Interior Designer
Sydney Stewart
Sydney came to design through art, and it shows in the layered, detailed rooms she puts together. She takes on our most intricate projects and most of our vacation homes.
Interior Designer
Summer Lewis
Summer designed luxury beach condos and villas in the U.S. Virgin Islands before settling in Houston. Her rooms are eclectic and bright, and she works collaboratively by instinct.
Interior Designer
Mikalah Dunn
Mikalah works across residential and commercial projects, and her graphic design and technology background means she can put a client inside a virtual rendering of the room before it is built.
How we work together
One project, more than one set of hands
A large renovation runs for a year or more. Over that stretch the drawings, the selections, the bids, the orders and the install all need someone whose actual job it is. Splitting those roles is what keeps a project moving when a cabinet shipment slips or a wall opens up on something nobody expected.

Careers
We hire slowly and rarely
When there is an opening for a designer or for studio support, it goes on the careers page first. If you work in Houston and the work here looks like the work you want to be doing, we would rather hear from you before there is a posting.

The first step is a paid design consultation with Jennifer. We walk the space, talk through scope honestly, and you leave with a clear read on what your project takes.
